Our online Permit to Carry class may be completed on your own schedule. It doesn’t matter if it is 1:30 in the morning. The entire course is at YOUR schedule.
The course is divided into several segments. At the end of each segment there will be a short quiz. After completion of each quiz with a minimum score of 75%, you may stop the class and pick up at the next segment at any time.
After successful completion of the course, you will need to schedule a live fire range test (a Minnesota requirement). Upon successful completion of the range test, you will be issued a certificate which meets the training requirements to apply for your Minnesota Permit to Carry a Pistol.
The class fee is $125 which is all inclusive; course, and range test, eye and ear protection and target. If you do not own a pistol, you may rent a pistol from us including ammunition for a modest fee.
Range tests are held in Forest Lake at Best Defense Armory and Range , as well as at Metro Gun Club in Blane, and Bill’s Gun Shop and Range in Circle Pines.
